I’m a bit late at posting this from July 4th weekend thanks to a busy summer—mostly of work rather than play. Lucky for you, everything is now on sale now that pre-fall (yes, that’s considered a season) is entering the stores and spring/summer is being cleared out. Really, it’s the perfect time to shop for those summery pieces that you’ll wear the rest of the summer, whatever you end up doing for Labor Day and perhaps on some getaways as the weather gets colder.
This dress was the perfect color for going to Cape Cod for a wedding during that holiday weekend and I think I’ll probably revisit it when I plan a holiday away somewhere tropical in the winter. I paired it with an unexpected heel, because well, it’s unexpected. The complimentary color of the orange to the blue was quite a contrast, but was in the same tone as the dress so it works and was not typical in a sea of women wearing black or nude shoes.
Of course you can re-wear what you’ve been wearing all summer and shop the resort collections for your winter getaway plans, but now is the time to stock up on those colorful pieces. In the next couple of weeks, stores will have cleared these items out to make way for you to shop for your fall wardrobe and you’ll miss out on all of these deals. Bonus if you can wear your sale items into fall like these I will with these heels.
