Natural Nail Polish

I can never keep a manicure for more than a couple of days, especially when I’m working on a photoshoot. It’s a complete waste of time and money for me. I bet I’m not alone, right? I think I finally found the perfect nail polish for my busy (and healthy!) lifestyle.

There have been a few advances in nail technology in recent years, like the gel manicure. As much as I get one now and then out of sheer desperation, it kind of scares me between the chemicals, weakening my nails and the UV light that causes cancer. There’s nothing beautiful about all of that. The new spray on nail polishes don’t sound much safer.

There are some less or non-toxic nail colors on the market right now and I’ve loved the nail wraps, but that’s not always convenient to touch up when I’m traveling—and lately that’s been a lot for work.

I often get contacted by brands to try out their products and if I like them, I write about them. For one of the first times, I reached out to (and begged) to try out the new brand Little Ondine after complimenting my friend Lauren on what I thought was an electric blue gel manicure. She told me all about this new British start up that was revolutionizing the nail industry with their polishes. She wasn’t compensated to tell me about this, but genuinely was passionate about the polishes.

As a health nut, she got my attention at “all natural ingredients,” but as a busy gal who is always on the go, she sold me on it upon saying it comes off with water. So no more nasty chemical polish remover.

The clear base/topcoat is so good on its own and I tend to wear it while I’m working. It also creates a beautiful high gloss shine that makes your new home manicure look like a salon gel manicure. My sister tried mine and like it so much she even bought this and the nude color, perfect for everyday.

I personally LOVE the red, which is great for all seasons and such a great classic red. The blue is also fun and I can’t tell you how many compliments I received when I wore it for a week or so.

All of the colors look incredibly glossy, streak-free and so beautiful. I can’t wait to try more of them as they are expanding and releasing more…especially the glitter colors, which are usually a pain to remove.

When I’m working, I found the color lasts only a couple of days. Still, I can quickly paint the nail that needs touching up before I head out of the house or bedtime. It dries THAT quickly. I’m rough on my hands, so otherwise it’s up to 5 days for some people before you have to touch up.

Then when you’re ready to change the color, you soak your hands in water for about a minute to remove.

It really is THAT easy.
