I never pictured myself as traveler who stays in an all-inclusive resort, but I recently got an offer I couldn’t refuse: to not only style for Sandals Resorts promos, but for the hubby and I to be IN the videos for Sandals Regency La Toc and Sandals Grande St. Lucian, both in the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia. To my surprise, they weren’t the typical cookie-cutter resort, incredibly luxurious and even though we got married (again!) on camera, I totally fell in love there.

We started off the trip at the Regency La Toc and were given the royal treatment. No joke, we had what they called butlers serving us champagne from the moment we entered the resort. We had drivers take us around the grounds of the resort, until we insisted we are New Yorkers and love walking. We even had a private breakfast set up in a gazebo overlooking the water. They weren’t kidding when they call it “The Caribbean’s Most Glamorous Resort.”

Our room was basically a mansion version of a NYC apartment, complete with a duplex with balconies with a picturesque view of the ocean with what felt like a private beach (expect for the director and cameraman seen in picture above of course!). In fact, the entire resort felt incredibly intimate, despite being at high capacity. I even had a private massage on the beach—okay, well with a camera in my face and a drone overhead filming so not totally private—and it still felt like I wasn’t in a busy hotel.

This outfit was one of my favorites that I wore (or shall I say, styled myself in) from the trip. I’m obsessed with the spring collection from the local NYC brand, Max ‘n Chester, which once specialized in menswear, but now has a complete collection that focuses on pieces you can wear all of the time and easily travel with because they all coordinate. It was the perfect look to wear from exploring the resort to our outing / filming in the local village market.

The hubby is trying to plot how we can go back and I’m trying to plot how I can own the whole collection for our next trip!

Stay tuned for more travel diary on my trip to Saint Lucia.
