There’s something about summer that forces everything to become a bit more laid back—including my style. I can’t deal with anything fussy when the temps go up. You can’t go wrong with a white tee and boyfriend jeans, but you can make it a bit more polished with your accessories like a bright structured bag, wedges, sunglasses, and a scarf or headband. When you mix simple gold accessories like April Soderstrom’s featherweight hoop earrings, it almost seems effortless.

You may recognize this image from my post-wedding shoot with photographer Uma Sanghvi at 5 Beekman Street, the abandoned palace in lower Manhattan that just sold recently and is about to become a hotel.
