A year ago today I was in NYC shooting my last big A year ago today I was in NYC shooting my last big campaign before my life changed... or really the whole world changed.

On my way home, I heard on the news that the first case was found in New Rochelle—my new home I had moved to only 2 weeks prior. Living in NYC, for 15 years and always being close to lots of people, I didn’t think too much of it. This was a lot more suburban and spread out.

Little did I know that my new home was going to be the center of attention on national news. A week or so later, I was on full lockdown before the rest of the state and the country. Being pregnant and living in what was declared a “Containment Zone” with the National Guard down the street was the most terrifying thing, like out of a sci-fi movie. I remember saying then, I just don’t know how we’re going to get out of this.

Here I am a year later, with no more fear in my new home, a healthy beautiful baby, getting back to somewhat “normal” and with a newfound (cautious) optimism. I wish I could tell myself a year ago that while it wouldn’t be easy, you will be okay. I would have saved myself a lot of anxiety.

What would you tell yourself a year ago??

Excuse me while I mourn my life #beforemom ...

😩I could wear 4 inch heels

😩I could go bra-less

😩I would travel on a whim

😩I wore designer handbags and clothing and the biggest threat to them was ME

😩My nails were always manicured and I had time to do my hair and makeup daily

😩I could leave the house without having to check if I had baby food on me or worse, my underwear ending up stuck to my son’s clothes only to find out because the teacher wrote a note saying it’s wrapped in paper in his backpack (true story).

✨Share your favorite images of you before kids because we all need that reminder of the fun and fabulous person we once were... and not to lose sight of that person✨

Thank you to @girlgonechildinnyc for challenging me to find my fave images from my life pre-kids. I almost forgot how I once was and will get back there one day... (though it may look different)

💥💥💥

🖤1st pic - 2015 from my first big Instagram collaboration — I was in the brand’s catalog & on their site as their fashion stylist spokesperson and shared about them all season. It was the first time it hit me that this could be a career and not just a hobby in addition to styling. 📷: @lydiahudgens

2nd pic- 2016 at @ekammeyer’s wedding where @marchesa loaned me a couture dress to wear to one of the rehearsal dinners (it had its own suitcase😳) 📷 : @shane_lavancher

3rd pic: 2015 at NYFW I loved this outfit loaned from @danamaxx ! It ended up in a few publications and is still one of my fave looks ever. (apologies I cannot remember the photographer!)

4th pic: 2016 one of our last vacations planned on a whim to Tulum and I felt my best I’ve ever felt emotionally and physically... and I got pregnant a few months later.

5th pic: 2016 can you believe I voluntarily got up early to go to an substance-free (other than coffee) dance party at 6am before work?? Not sure if I’ll ever be that person again but she sure looked happy!🤦🏼‍♀️

This last year has been HARD on us moms, but just This last year has been HARD on us moms, but just remember on those days that you feel like giving up, there’s a little girl who wants to be just like you. Don’t disappoint her.

I just can’t stop staring at this face... 🤗 b I just can’t stop staring at this face... 🤗 but also can’t wait for this face to sleep. 😒

Today was ROUGH with the baby after being away the longest I’ve been from her while on a big styling job yesterday. She was super clingy, needy and just wouldn’t nap. Then I found myself missing her when she finally slept. Anyone else go through that torture???

Ps Swipe to see the perfect timing of the reminder to “be here now” from @babyintune as my baby attacks me. 🤪

Being a pandemic baby is hard. No friends, no inte Being a pandemic baby is hard. No friends, no interactions, no experiences, parents that are pulling their hair out over spending 24/7 with me for the past almost year. 👶🏼

Okay, let’s be real, being a mom to a pandemic baby is even harder. With my son I was able to meet other moms while taking my baby to amazing experiences like music classes.

I decided to do @babyintune music classes again this time around (now virtually) because I was longing for some kind of experience for my baby.

Vered’s classes are as much as for mama as they are for our baby. I love the weekly check in’s, connecting with other moms (including my friends!) and learning valuable tips from someone who’s a music therapist and psychotherapist. I still use her tips with my son and we listen to her music on Spotify or sing her songs daily!

🎉I partnered with @babyintune and my mama friend to give one of our followers a semester of VIRTUAL BABY MUSIC CLASSES (10 classes, value of $250)🎉

To enter [CLOSED. Congrats to @rebecca.sunde ]:

I got emotional today thinking about my breastfeed I got emotional today thinking about my breastfeeding journey coming to an end soon.

With my son, I supplemented with formula when I went back to work because I wasn’t producing enough, but there’s something about a pandemic baby that makes ending breastfeeding SO much harder.

My pandemic baby has been home with me all of the time, attached to me all of the time, and when you take away breastfeeding, it almost feels like she doesn’t need ME in the same way. It’s almost like a form of grief and a sense of freedom tangled up together.

There’s nothing in my life that’s had more of a love/hate relationship than breastfeeding, so forgive me while I mourn and celebrate until that time comes.

💗Tag a mama that may be feeling this too. 💗

[Thank you to @kristineboel for this gorgeous backdrop to shoot on and inspiring me to capture these moments myself, which I regret not having from my first... and if it looks like I’m on my phone while nursing it’s because I’m using it as a remote to shoot...but let’s be real, I spend about 2 hours of my day in this position while she’s on the boob!]

Back in the NY groove 🍎 ...and almost feeling b Back in the NY groove 🍎 ...and almost feeling back to “normal” attending a presentation at fashion week today and seeing other humans.

I’ve been attending (or working) NYFW since I was 18 and it gives me so much inspiration and life every season. It was also such a treat to have a solo mission away from the kiddos AND have an excuse to get dressed up after momming in sweats so much of this past year! I almost forgot how to socialize and take street style pics though. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Do you smile in pics behind a 😷 or is it just me??

My kids are the reason I wake up every morning... My kids are the reason I wake up every morning... really freakin early. Every. Single. Morning.

Anyone else? 🤪🥱🥴😴

I just upgraded my son’s mattress so I could sleep better. Before moving to my house, I totally didn’t think about our mattresses, other than finding something comfy. We are organic/non-toxic with everything in our life, but now we are swapping out our mattresses too!

@mygreenmattress is 100% organic, sustainable and affordable. They also have a 20 year warranty and have a 120 day sleep trial so you can sleep with peace of mind too. Have you made the switch yet?
