What You Can Expect with The Closet Refresh®

How It Works

The goal: give you the style guidance and tips you need to effortlessly put your best foot forward season after season.

Every client begins with The Closet Refresh®, offered virtually or in person. You do not need to live in New York!

Step One: 30 Minute Consultation

We begin The Closet Refresh® by reviewing your needs and goals. I use this information and create a profile. This acts as a guide to help you get dressed, shop in the future and reference for future services.

Step Two: 2.5 hour Closet edit

In this stage we do a complete evaluation of your items. I then make suggestions of what to purge, tailor, and repair. Finally, we work on the organization of your wardrobe refresh, as well as an assessment to achieve your personal style. You will learn how to style your existing pieces in new ways as well.

Step Three: Your Curated Personal Style Profile, Delivered

My next step is to take all the information from your session and create your personal style profile.

How much does it cost to hire a capsule wardrobe consultant like Liz Teich?

The Closet Refresh® package is $2700. This is where all clients start to get a solid foundation for their wardrobe and build a personal style wardrobe. From here, many choose to book follow-up virtual styling sessions, virtual shopping services, or image consultant help for upcoming events. If you’re interested in color analysis, we recommend booking this just before The Closet Refresh®, so we can use your perfect palette to refine your wardrobe.

My body has changed and nothing in my closet fits the way it used to - does The Closet Refresh® work for bodies in transition?

Absolutley! So many of our clients are moms, recent divorcees, and women moving up in their careers. All of these major points of transition often come with a style crisis and a feeling of being disconnected from the clothes in their closets and how they fit their bodies right now. (As a mom myself, I have been here a few times!)

The Closet Refresh® is built to identify your current lifestyle and needs first, then use this to help us edit the closet and make a shopping list that will give you the confidence to get dressed and keep showing up in all the ways you do!

How long does The Closet Refresh® process take from first call to closet edit to final personal style guide?

Our initial consult is 30 minutes. Then we spend about two and half hours in your closet, editing. This remains the same whether you book a virtual appointment or an in person appointment. From there, you will receive your personal style profile within 5 business days after our session.

Do you shop for me, or do we work with what I already own first?

Both! Every client starts with The Closet Refresh®. In this process, we start with what you already own for sustainability and to get clarity on your style type and lifestyle needs. At the end of this, you do get a personalized shopping list and brands to look at so you can fill in gaps in your wardrobe, but I don’t do this shopping for you.

Many clients add on to The Closet Refresh® with a virtual shopping session or come back a few months later to do this together. In this service, I do all the shopping for you. You simply log in to your private and personal closet and click to purchase.

How is this different from a closet cleanout?

A closet cleanout isn’t focused on building your personal style and understanding your style type. It’s just that: a decluttering service. We are a personal styling service that builds your image, brand, and presence in the world. Our services reflect this attention to detail and help you show up in the world with more confidence. Because when you look good, you feel good.
