As you probably realized by now, the New Yorker in me loves to revert back to my uniform of black. It’s easy to fall into the dull, colorless cold weather wardrobe routine. As long as you keep it modern with some pops of brights and chic silhouettes, you’ll be golden.
Just like the color black, I can’t get enough of wearing blazers during these months. I believe every woman should own at least one great fitting blazer in her wardrobe. It’s a staple that is so versatile and makes you look instantly put together.
This season, it’s the reign of the tuxedo style blazer and lucky for me, this is a trend that often gets recycled to future seasons (NOTE: GO BUY NOW). YSL introduced his timeless “Le Smoking” androgynous look over 45 years ago and it’s still appearing on the runways—especially this season. Jason Wu, Alexander Wang, and Stella McCartney are just a few designers that broke out the tux with a twist for fall. I don’t think it’s going away any time soon.
Don’t forget it’s Cyber Monday—the best day of the year to get all of your holiday gifts online. Happy Shopping.

Love the outfit! Great background (where were you?). Also, the gray shoes/boots look terrific don’t know if you referenced them.
