Dress: Ali Ro | Shoes: Christian Louboutin | Bag: TJMaxx | Earrings: Topshop | Bracelet: H&M
I went to a wedding overlooking the Hudson River this past weekend (the good, clean part upstate—not the dirty Manhattan, looking over NJ version). The river wasn’t the only “something blue” there; this dress that I’ve dug out of my closet from a couple of years ago. (Oh this ol’ thing?) I love how classic this shift dress is, but with an unexpected twist (the open back) that makes it less blasé than the next shift.
I guess those little wardrobe surprises are kind of my thing, like my wedding dress that was featured on Style Me Pretty.
STYLIST TIP: If you try a wardrobe surprise on your own, like an open back or a plunging neckline, be sure to equip yourself with lots of Topstick to avoid any unwanted wardrobe surprises. As someone who loves to dance, I always keep a few strips of this sticky tape in my clutch at weddings.
