Marisa Berenson in a YSL minidress circa 1969, featured in the book “In Vogue”
While much of my style is influenced from decades past, I’ve noticed that I’m inspired daily by the fashionistas surrounding me on the streets of NYC.
Anything goes in this fashionable city and people express themselves through their wardrobe. It’s a breath of fresh air—the styles, not the pollution from the zillion cars and trucks—to see not everyone dressing alike.
This street style shot of model Marisa Berenson in the 60’s reminds me of just that. The mini-dress had just come into fashion, but I love how Berenson made this style her own with the high shaft boot and edgy, somewhat tribal jewelry.
If only we could all look like that walking down the street!
