Color Blocking Like A Pro

IMG_1265

I’m sorry to leave you hanging lately, but I’ve been traveling for work and without much down time. Despite my busy schedule, I managed to get inspired by a photoshoot I did for a popular shoe line’s look book, where I styled a ton of brights for next spring’s collection.

The shoot got me wanting to add more fun brights to my wardrobe. Of course, I had a tough time wanting to return these gorgeous designer culottes that I scored at T.J.Maxx for probably half of the price.

STYLIST TIP: Want to try the fabulous trend of color blocking—which is so fun that it keeps getting carried over to the next season—but aren’t sure how? Bet you can do it.

There are no rules to color blocking, but it helps to try one main bright and work around that. Then, balance it out with some neutrals, like a nude colored shoe or a metallic bag. Even black can edge up and make color blocking feel fresh.
