Mad About Midcentury Modern

summer_to_fall1

If this is transitioning from summer to fall, I’m cool with it. No pun intended. I picked up this skirt at a sample sale (for $20!) while stopping by for showroom appointments a couple of weeks ago and I couldn’t wait until fall to wear it, so as soon as I felt the slightest drop in temperature, it went on. I dressed it down for now with a fitted white tee, but when fall approaches, I will be sure to have fun with this one.

STYLIST TIP: Try a sophisticated mid-century skirt style this fall, whether it’s below the knee or a fuller skirt, you’re sure to look chic. Store that mini-skirt and think more mid-century 50’s and 60’s Mad Men this season. Just be sure that if your skirt gets longer, your top should either get shorter or get tucked in, which compensates for the new proportion.

  1. Hey Liz! You have so much awesome jewelry. I just moved and am looking for tips on how to keep my jewelry organized. Right now it’s such a jumble that I end up wearing the same things because I can’t be bothered to dig. Any tips?

  2. I absolutely love this look. Your heels are perfect and your top knot is exactly how I wish mine would come out. fabulous skirt too.

I’m really loving your blog, Liz and I’m your newest follower.

    XO, Gina
