I went to my first wedding with no electricity this past weekend (thank you global warming for this wacky weather). I must say, that’s the way wedding should always be—lots of romantic candles and darkness to hide your spanx/slips/bra straps and other wardrobe malfunctions that my girlfriends and I were self-conscious of.
Just like my vintage 40’s inspired look, the Kittle House in Chappaqua, New York felt like it was in a bygone era after the freak snow storm hit this past October weekend. It was a magical escape from the city life.
I was channeling Veronica Lake (and I’m not the only one feeling the 40’s vibe this season) and enjoying it so much that I seemed to have forgotten about the snow!
