Just beyond the vibrant modern art at Chelsea’s Paul Kasmin Gallery, the stylist-turned-designer sisters, Maryam and Marjan Malakpour of NewbarK presented their collection of shoes and bags there last night. It was a cool modern black and white color story with just a touch of red, which seemed to suit its stark setting perfectly. It was a fairytale on Sunday morning at the Studio in Lincoln Center. Lela Rose’s fall/winter 2013 collection, inspired by The Brother’s Grimm, encapsulated the feel of one of the classic stories in whimsical frocks and elegant separates.
