It’s rainy days like these that make a stylista not want to get her nice shoes ruined by the weather. It’s days like these that make me want to dress my home instead.
My favorite part of decorating is that like your wardrobe, you can mix and match it all together. As you probably have sensed by now, I’m obsessed with anything vintage, but I like to combine everything from designer (like Vera Wang and Nicole Miller) to discount (Marshall’s and Gilt Home).
It’s all in the details—how you showcase your personality, use the unexpected in new ways (like peacock feathers in an otherwise precious vase), while making you feel like home at the same time. I actually bring this candle from Anthropologie with me whenever I travel to take the feeling of home with me wherever I go. Home sweet home.

STYLIST TIP: Flowers are a great way to bring color and season into a room. Cut the stems short so you don’t see them and get ride of excess foliage. They’ll look more chic and less like they came from the grocery store.
p.s. No plans for NYC’s FASHION NIGHT OUT tomorrow night yet? No problem. You won’t be sorry if you hang out here for the evening. It’s FREE to come. No need to RSVP. Check out a lot of the designers I’ve mentioned in this blog and their fall collections!
