Georgine is a newcomer on the block in Lincoln Center this week, but her 70’s throwback collection made her look like a fashion veteran. Designer Georgine Ratelband’s nods to the era’s icons like Bianca Jagger and Jerry Hall jet setting to Saint-Tropez, somehow still felt fresh for something we’ve seen pop up every now in then in fashion. Everything has been done, but the metallics and turbans didn’t feel stale, but rather something that street style stars may be following suit come this spring.

While the stark black looks felt out of place for such a tropical disco era collection, the black caftan was one of the standout looks, along with accessories like ornate flowers in the air and surfboard shaped clutches—complete with a cuff attached so you don’t lose your board.

Whatever your bag is for spring, Georgine is onto something with the wide legged pants that feel refreshing after the decline of the skinny jean has recently been declared.
