A stark, white background and a quiet audience set the tone for the Katya Leonovich SS15 runway show. One by one, models paraded down the runway with a slow strut and an audacious temperament.
It was a unique show, with a beautiful use of the new 3D printing technology that created the garments and a fusion of iridescent, white, blue and purple hues.
Highlights from the show include the blue tech-mesh dress and the purple laser cut dress, both showing the capability of the 3D printing. Common tones among the collection included grey, gunmetal metallic, white, purple, blue, lilac and cream. Standout accessories include bright and colorful sunglasses and statement necklaces.
Leonovich’s 3D printed collection serves as an example of how garments may be manipulated by these new tools and possibly the future of the fashion industry.
