My Favorite Stain Removal Hacks
Let’s talk summer whites! I know what you’re thinking: “Liz, I can’t wear white. I have kids/a dog/a tendency to spill everything.”
Yes, you can! And when stains happen- I got ya 😉
White is actually the easiest color to maintain because white fabrics lack dyes, which means you can use powerful stain removers without worrying about stripping color.
Once you know the right tricks, white clothing is totally doable 👇
For Any Stain: The Laundress Stain Remover Kit (my holy grail)
For Food/Coffee/Wine Stains: Hydrogen peroxide – apply, rinse immediately, wash on cold, air dry
For Oil Stains: Dawn dish soap – apply directly, add cold water, rub gently, wash on cold
For Makeup Stains: Micellar water (yes, really!) – it’s gentle enough for clothes and works like magic
For Sunscreen Stains: OxiClean White Revive Powder + hydrogen peroxide
Pro Tips:
- Always treat stains BEFORE washing
- Wash whites on cold water only
- Air dry instead of using the dryer (heat sets stains permanently)
- Wash whites separately to keep them bright
