It’s that time of year again… the time where we spend with family and/or friends and stuff our faces with turkey / tofurky and pie. We’re so wrapped up in food, sales (which I’ll get to AFTER the holiday, as it should be), and entertaining during Thanksgiving that we forget what the holiday is all about.

After recent events going on in the world, we should be thankful more than ever to live in this country and have what we have. I’m grateful that my friends, family and I are all safe and healthy. While this site and my day job are all about fashion, there’s more than a great outfit to be thankful for. Though, not going to lie, I am grateful for that too.

Here’s what else I’m thankful for this year:

Being able to look expensive for less is easier than ever. I’m anti-fur, so faux fur is always a more affordable option for me and this collaboration H&M did with high fashion design label Balmain made that an easy choice for me. These over-the-knee boots scored on sale and this Saint Laurent knock-off for hundreds less did also elevate my fall/winter looks, and will still be in rotation for years to come. Did you catch how else you can achieve looking more expensive with my tips in this post?

I had the trip of a lifetime in France. In case you missed it.

I’ve worked with some amazing people and brands this past year on my photoshoots.  Reebok, Puma, Clinique, Gilt Groupe, Pilot Pens, Panera Bread, Rockport shoes, Kohler, Macy’s, Puffs Tissues, Aquaphor, Orbit Gum, JCPenneyJockey, Improper Bostonian Magazine, Venice MagazineFox 5 Good Day New York, Jill Greenberg, JUCO photo, Gary LandDavid Salafia, Candy Kennedy, Conor Doherty, Jen Robbins, Fumie HoppeMark Delong / Electric Picture FarmTheProducer.com, Zinc Productions, CoPeople Creative, Spring Studios, Erin Lark GrayBill Nye The Science Guy… just to name a few of them.

And amazing people that make it all happen for me behind the scenes. Anchor Artists, Agency GerardCaitlin Dooley, Elenita Fabre Dodia, Michelle Coughlan, Nic Adedokun, Lydia Santangelo.

Not to mention the brands and photographers that have supported THE BROOKLYN STYLIST this year.
