If you follow me you probably know I’m a yoga and barre class junkie. You may also have noticed I’m not so down with the “athleisure” trend that has been popular in recent years for my own personal style, so I reserve my workout gear for just workouts. Sure, I want to be comfy too, but yoga pants shouldn’t be for anything but going to/from the gym or anything else active. Grabbing coffee doesn’t count. This past year I’ve been on a mission to find more street style worthy workout wear to incorporate into my active daily life.
I recently was invited by Lululemon Soho Women’s store to try on a few of their new pieces. They then photographed me in them for their emails announcing the new products. The 3 pieces I chose to wear here were not only my favorites, but pieces I would LIVE in. I also go to pair them how I would wear them, which was with these sandals, my own jewels, mixed with my talented friend Emily‘s designs, along with a pair of designer sunnies.
I told them these pants be so perfect an upcoming trip where I’ll be hiking, exploring and on lots of plane rides. They’re also made for my life as a stylist, where I need to look polished, but need to be able to move quite a bit. I wish all of my pants had 4-way stretch because I’m basically doing squats on my photoshoot sets I’m styling. Until I somehow find a way to make that happen, you’re going to be seeing a lot of me in these “trek trouser” pants—from yoga to the streets!

I love these pants and can’t wait to give them a try. I’ve been terrified and rather skeptical of athleisure – partly because I don’t know if I can pull it off and partly because I don’t know if I WANT to pull it off. Workout clothes in public?! But you’ve nailed it, and convinced me to go for it.
XO,
Elise
Aw thanks Elise! I think you could totally pull it off…and without regret. It’s nice when you find something that’s both fashionable AND comfy, huh?
