I’m loving how much “gypsy”-inspired fashion is out there right now, especially since I came up with and shot my spring campaign for etc…  during the winter. Even the April issue of Vogue featured a gypsy-themed fashion story shot by Bruce Weber and there didn’t seem to be much of it popping up just yet—but now it’s everywhere:

-Jewelry in addition to my own designs have been free-spirited between the popular brands like Vanessa MooneyGypsies and Debutantes and Pamela Love.

-I’m on the Nicole Richie bandwagon (or caravan in this case) and love all of her equally gypsy-inspired fashions, often channeling a 70’s Stevie Nicks with her clothing line, Winter Kate, and her accessories line, House of Harlow 1960.

-Gypsy-style looks have made it this way to Brooklyn with a go-to vintage destination of mine, Gypsy Nation, at the Artists & Fleas market in Williamsburg, which is authentically from gypsy “nations” in both Europe and the Middle East.

-My most recent gypsy discovery was this cool Brooklyn-based indie brand called Arrows N Hearts, which made this statement necklace that I’ve been drooling over for months now at the local shop, By Brooklyn. They finally agreed to let me own it in exchange of my styling their jewelry cases. Score!

This is one trend that I hope has some staying power…well maybe except for this new gypsy reality show.
