Black Tie Optional

Rag & Bone tux style blazer; BCBG top (TJMaxx); H&M shorts; TopShop open-toed platform booties; Urban Expressions vegan chain bag (TJMaxx); Dolce & Gabbana glasses (Fabulous Fanny's); Pepperbox stud earrings; etc... cluster and velvet ribbon necklace (Artists & Fleas) / Photos by Joshua Boccheciamp

Wow, when did it become September? I’m still not quite ready for fall weather.

Throwing a blazer over an outfit is my favorite way to keep warm during those end of summer chilled evenings. If you have to make one investment in your wardrobe this fall, it should be a tux style jacket. It’s a trendy, yet timeless way to polish off any outfit and make something casual ready for any occasion.

You know what I am ready for?

Fashion’s Night Out
, which is only one week away. If you happen to be in the Williamsburg, Brooklyn area that night (next Thursday 8/9), swing by the Artists & Fleas from 6 – 11pm and see etc… Modern-Vintage Jewelry’s return for the fall season with some new designs (like this one) and lots of markdowns.

  1. Love this one! The bun, the wall, the glasses, the necklace, the whole look is so refreshing and put together…the perfect blend of style, formality, informality, and originality!
