#Instastyle / The Coolest Wedding Ever

wedding_7

Last week I went to possibly the coolest wedding ever, held at The Green Building in artsy Gowanus, Brooklyn. It was the union of a photographer I work with, Paul, and a photo-rep friend, Kimberley, so I knew it was going to be creative and fun, just like them.

I opted for a festive Suno frock and a playful lucite clutch, while the hubby wore his new Hill Side bow tie with a gingham print, in honor of the groom’s signature gingham shirts he wears almost daily, and even on his wedding day.

It was nearly monsoon weather after tropical storm Andrea swept through the city, so this easy braid up-do was a good way to combat the  curls and frizz that would have taken over. See step by step how-to for creating that ‘do here.

The guests and bridal party entered to the music of our talented friends and local band, Jus Post Bellum.

Of course, being photographers, they cleverly wove those details throughout the decor, including this seamless paper as their backdrop for their vows.

These toy cameras painted gold were the perfect solution to the often underwhelming seating cards.

One of the best parts about a wedding at this location is that many food trucks park behind the building, so it’s perfect to cater a wedding. Tacos and sliders from Mexicue were hands down the most amazing food served at a wedding. We placed our order and took our to-go containers back to our tables.

Looks like I wore the perfect dress for the occasion, as I matched the confetti shot out to the guests as they danced the night away.
