There’s something about one-piece swimsuits that look so chic. I’m all about them this summer and as the heat wave came and went here in NYC, one piece suits are the only way I’ve been able to jump into the frigid water lately.
You may remember from this post of another K.Belo swimsuit that I’ve found the best one-piece suits that don’t make you look matronly OR like a kid. A better bonus is that they look great when you’re sitting beside the pool and then grabbing lunch.
swimsuit: c/o K.Belo | top and skirt: vintage from Spooky Boutique at the Artists & Fleas Market | hat: J.Crew (similar online) | sunglasses: c/o George Gina & Lucy | bracelet: c/o Mae Movement | earrings: Tom Binns (sold out online!) | shoes: T.J.Maxx
STYLIST TIP: A good swimsuit is all about the fit. Make sure it doesn’t pull or bunch anywhere. Forget the sizing (I usually size up in swimwear)! You may need a different size on top than the bottom. For a one piece, you may need to sew in cups to have it fit proportionately. Most importantly, look for swimwear that is best for YOUR body type…and when you find it, buy it in multiple colors/patterns!
Also take note that swimwear gets marked down at the end of summer, so it’s the best time to buy because swimwear trends don’t change as frequently and then you’re ready for that getaway in the colder months.
I love this, Liz! You look gorgeous.
Thanks Risa! xx
