I’ve come to terms with being somewhat of a style chameleon. From luxe bohemian to rock ‘n roll chic, my personal style can’t be defined in just one word. One thing that is pretty consistent is my love for vintage and vintage inspired pieces.

When I found out that TJ Maxx started to carry Nicole Richie’s ingenious line with a hippie flair, WINTER KATE, sourced from vintage materials, I knew I was going to want to own it all. This kimono style top was my biggest weakness. It’s made from 100% vintage silk from India—something that sounds like it should cost a small fortune—and I scored it for only $50!

The only reason it was probably still in stock is because most people don’t want to purchase spring/summer pieces right now (unless you’re my Floridian friend, Janine). Well, lucky for me, I know this is something I will wear all year long.

How, you ask? LAYERING.

I dare you to get creative by layering some of your warmer weather pieces with your current wardrobe. Just stay clear of summery fabrics like linen and gauze and you should be good to go. Now if I could only figure out how to wear my favorite chunky sweaters in the summer…
