Happy New Year! If you’re like me, you’re probably agonizing over what to wear on this holiday. Of course, you can’t go wrong with a little sparkle. Last year, I let the dress do the talking (pictured above)…this year, it may be the jewelry.
Last New Year’s Eve I hosted a party, but I didn’t have much time to prepare—probably because I was agonizing over what to wear (just kidding). Solution? I made snacks, including this yummy Asian-inspired appetizer (courtesy of Maren Rossman), that were impressive, yet easy.
Try it for your party (be prepared for it to disappear in moments!):
Slice a block of cream cheese in half the long way. Spread wasabi paste over the layer, then place the other half back on. Spread wasabi paste on top of that layer. Drizzle soy sauce on top and sprinkle a layer of sesame seeds to finish. Serve with rice crackers and a cheese knife, slicing enough to spread on a cracker. Enjoy!

sounds incredibly easy – and delicious! I don’t know how hard it will be to find the wasabi paste here in Italy, but I will need to try this out. This year’s NYE outfit is just for my dreams, check it out:
