Everyone is talking about how to dress for those hot summer days like we’ve been having, but what about when you need an easy outfit for cool summer nights?

My go-to cool summer weather look has to be wide-legged or flared jeans, which screams summer ease, but also covers your legs, avoiding goose bumps and mosquito bites.

I bought a couple pairs this season, because now they’re totally on trend with the 70’s style comeback from the spring/summer season, carrying into this fall. In other words: it’s a good investment. Oddly enough, the pair I get the most compliments on are these soft stretchy denim pair from H&M for only $30! They get noticed more than my designer pair from a few seasons ago, so when I say “investment,” you really don’t have to spend a lot on them. Technology with denim has come so far that you can find a pair within your budget that you’ll love.

Of course I know at least half of you are reading this, thinking, I’m too short, I’m too wide, I’m too…whatever…for wide leg jeans, but trust me, they’re WAY more forgiving than the skinnies you’ve been rocking. When paired with a stacked heel or platform sandal for summer, they actually elongate your legs and make you appear to be an Amazonian but you really know the height secret. There’s something a bit glamorous about them when done right and in a modern way—I’m not saying break out those JNCO’s or Carpenter jeans ladies of the 90’s.

The best part is you don’t need much to make a statement: a bold clutch, some simple accessories, like delicate jewelry (try some out for free from Rocksbox with my code above!) my favorite accessory this summer, nail wraps that scream warm weather. The only “cool” part about your summer nights will be your look. See what I did there?
