Fall Trends To Start Wearing Now

– Rebecca Minkoff tux jacket: This not only hits the trends of the contrasting black lapel and pattern…but you can achieve the fall trend trifecta if you pair this with another pattern. STYLIST TIP: The trick with mixing patterns is to stay in the same family of colors (so in this case, neutrals work best) and alternate large with small patterns (a small checked or larger print on a pant would work well with this jacket).

– Topshop jacket: Though this is faux leather, it is a great knock-off style of more expensive brands that have jackets like this for fall. I particularly love that it incorporates the military trend—but with an updated edge.

– Vince pants: These printed pants are just like everything we saw on the fall runways. It seems the wider and the slouchier, the better. Pair these now with some wedge sandals and a tank and then pile on the blouses and cozy sweaters with it for fall.

– Free People *vegan* leather skirt: Leather will be just about everywhere this fall (think “Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”). This piece you can even wear now in the summer because it’s not heavy leather.

– Jack By BB Dakota dress: Anything brocade or baroque goes for this fall. Wear this with sandals now and layer with a blazer or sweater in a month or so.

– Boohoo brogues: The menswear trend will be strong this fall but try it out now by pairing these with a summery dress or shorts.
