Feeling Blue About The Season Change?

Are you feeling blue about the season change? So am I. There’s nothing sadder than having to put away all of your easy breezy summer pieces for a couple of seasons, right? Well don’t put them away so fast. At risk of sounding like an infomercial, you too can still wear them now and even into winter.

Those summery dresses can easily be paired with your fall boots and booties to ease them into the chillier climate. But wait, there’s more. When it’s too cold outside for your bare arms, don’t forget you can layer up. Even your slip and spaghetti strap dresses can have a 90’s overhaul by layering a long sleeve tee or turtleneck under.

Florals are still totally game for this season so even your botanical dresses can stay in your rotation. Look for ways to cold weather-ize your pieces like with heavier fall materials like suede to make them feel appropriate.

A good fall handbag always can change your look to fit for the season. I’m obsessed with this one by Joanna Maxham not only because it’s so beautifully made and reminds me of the whole military trend that’s going strong right now, but because the shape is so unique and in line with the new shapes of bags this season—just another way to update your summer gear into fall.
