#FridayFavorites / 3 Summer Hair Tools

fridayfavorites_summer_hair

Sorry to leave you hanging yesterday, but I was counting on using the wi-fi on the Bolt Bus up to Boston for Anchor‘s launch event at Patch NYC  last night and it ended up being more like a dial up connection. Stay tuned for more exciting projects that I’m working on.

On a more fun note, I’ve been having loving my new easy breezy hair regimen thanks to these products that I learned about from the industry:

1 – My friend and hair and makeup artist, Jesse Lawson of Anchor, taught me how to use the wand on a shoot not too long ago and I’ve been hooked since. The trick is to curl vertically in sections and then leave the ends un-curled for a more modern look. I found this affordable alternative to her pro tool and it works well for every day hair.

2 – I know this looks like a cheesy 80’s tool for perms, but every single hair stylist that I work with on photoshoots SWEARS by this hairspray. It’s so lightweight that it won’t feel like you’re wearing a hair helmet on those humid evenings and the best part is that when you want to change your ‘do, you can just brush it out!

3 – I have to be honest that I received this product back in February at Christian Siriano’s fall show at NYFW, but I haven’t tried it until now. I tend to wear my hair more beachy and naturally wavy in the warmer months, so it’s the perfect product for when I want to keep the waves that I get in the morning by the end of the day.

    1. Aw thanks Suma! I never like to spend much time on it, so I’m psyched I found something that looks great and is actually easy!
