Brrrrr. When did it become WINTER?

I broke down and went to buy the winter coat by NAU that I’ve been drooling over—and dreaming about (no joke)—after weeks of stalking it at the Brooklyn shop, Epaulet. You may recall it making my holiday wishlist of things I’ve also been drooling over. Well, it was too cold to bear this weekend and I went for one final trip to the shop to try it on.

Aaaaand, I’m in love. Happy early Chanukah to me.

I finally found my match. The PERFECT coat. The one that is:

-not puffy or bulky
-does not make me resemble the Michelin Man
-keeps me toasty
-is water resistant, but not looking like I belong on the slopes
-is flattering. (good things come to those who wait…the new version has a belt!!)
-will last me for years

Convinced? Get your own exclusively at Epaulet before they run out. There are plenty of more chilly days in our forecast…

Speaking of winter, did you happen to catch the rarely interviewed Anna Wintour on CBS Sunday Morning speaking about Vogue‘s upcoming 120th birthday? If you missed it, here’s the must-see humanized Ms. Wintour admitting she just took chances and followed her gut for the past 23 years. Pretty inspiring advice from the most powerful woman in fashion.

  1. Great jacket and hat! I think it’s funny that they have to make gloves with no fingers so people can operate their electronics! i guess the fingers have to move so fast that they don’t get cold? Just an Oldie’s perspective!
