I was prepared for the elements with hurricane Irene’s visit this weekend and of course, was still sensibly stylish. Apparently I was not alone in this. New Yorkers all over the city were gearing up for her visit.

While I honestly was fearing the worst, this fab jacket with tromp l’oiel denim and rip details (a gift from a recent photoshoot) brightened up my weekend. Luckily, the city had minor damages compared to what we expected.

Check out what my neighborhood looked like after the earthquakehurricapocolypse week we had here in Brooklyn…

p.s. I guess Kanye was feeling my “Canadian Tuxedo” vibe at the VMA’s on Sunday night with his own denim on denim look. Is this look hot or not?
