Shoes & The City

After spending time in Boston, I was ready to get back to my NYC roots by getting all decked out Carrie Bradshaw style this weekend. Unlike the fabulous foursome of Sex & The City, I was a bit more sensible in my shoe choice.

No Manolos or Choos for this stylista if I’m on my feet all night…chasing after cabs…showing off my dance moves. Surprisingly, Cole Haan’s line of heels made with Nike Air are not only chic, but they are SO comfy.

While out with my girl friends, they all gawked at my shoes, but cringed at the thought of spending so much on something that goes on your feet. With all the attention my feet got the other night (not my clutch, not my outfit, not my hair that I spent forever curling) and the classic style that has been a staple in my closet season after season, I definitely got my money’s worth.

Bonus: I was the only one not complaining about my feet by the end of the night.

STYLIST TIP: IF YOU’RE GOING TO WEAR ALL BLACK, TRY INCORPORATING AT LEAST ONE POP OF COLOR TO YOUR OUTFIT, WHETHER IT’S IN AN ACCESSORY OR YOUR LIP COLOR. THAT WAY, YOU’LL SHINE INSTEAD OF BLENDING INTO THE CROWD.
