There are many areas around the East Coast that were affected by the superstorm Sandy, but South Brooklyn was hits close to home for me.
So many residents and small businesses in my area were hit hard, especially people that have stores, studios and factories in Red Hook —some may even make products you know and love!
On Saturday, November 3, you can support the local South Brooklyn businesses that are fortunate to keep running and are participating in raising funds for those that aren’t.
By Brooklyn, a boutique of Brooklyn-made goods that carries my jewelry line etc…, will donate 10% of all sales (in store and on line) to support Red Hook small businesses.
For those of you in Brooklyn, come out of hiding in your apartments and please support these businesses.
For those of you everywhere else that want to help, you can also shop online at the following stores that are participating in fundraising:
Atmosphere
Brooklyn Refinery
Brooklyn Social
Brooklyn Tattoo
Callaillai
Exit9 Emporium
Henry Public
Jakewalk
Jolie Cantina
