Well, as you can tell by how I wore a floral dress on Good Day New York the other day while talking about winter fashion, I’m ready to incorporate spring into my wardrobe already. If you are as well, in addition to how I styled said dress for winter, I have a few ways to incorporate spring fashion into your wardrobe now.

I’ve been styling and still am styling lots of stuff for things coming out in the spring, so it’s no wonder why I can’t wait to try out all of the trends and fun clothing coming out. I even started to make a shopping list while styling Lands’ End’s spring editorial shoot (trust me, you’re going to as well when it comes out!). Two of the items I couldn’t wait to try happen to already be out like their anorak and gorgeous leather bucket bag—which is so on trend even this season and the gorgeous stone color can translate into both seasons as well. Both pieces also happen to be perfect for my lifestyle, running around the city all day.

I need a bag for day that I can swing over my shoulder for hands free shopping, but still looks professional and high quality when I meet with clients and showrooms, so the “Regatta” style bucket bag has become my new favorite—even my girlfriends all were so impressed by it and asked what designer it was!

I’m not a puffy jacket or vest type of girl normally, so never in a million years would I have thought I would gravitate towards one, but when I wanted to try out the spring anorak I’ve been eying, it made sense to layer with it when it was 40 degrees in NYC this past weekend while I was prepping for a job. Wearing the vest under this lightweight coat gave me the warmth I needed while over-heating and schlepping a zillion bags on my arms. It doesn’t become all about this massive puffy thing that’s wearing you when you wear it as a layer and a pop of color UNDER your favorite light jacket for some warmth AND style. This is an easy styling trick that anyone can pull off—while avoiding the Marty McFly look and keeping it modern.
