The Country and The City Mouse

DA_country_living

I fled the city this past weekend for my sister’s house in the country and as much as I’m a city girl at heart, it was a nice escape. I even fed chickens and collected eggs (not in these heels of course!). The best part was the crisp fresh air that reminded me that fall is around the corner.

Speaking of fall, I finally broke down and got the bag I’ve been coveting for months now for the coming season. It helped that I recently sold a ton of pieces from my closet on the Poshmark app (follow me there @DearAndi).

STYLIST TIP: The best investment pieces in your wardrobe are the ones you can wear all year round. There’s no sense in splurging on a bag in a color that’s only for fall. If you’re looking for a new bag or shoes that you’re going to get the most out of, opt for a neutral color. A bright color like red (even orange, yellow, green, blue or purple) can act as a neutral as well, which can be worn with just about anything and all seasons. Though, this fall trust me that red is the new black!
