Who wants to dress like a millionaire?

Good thing I dressed up while visiting Waikiki today, so I was ready for all of the sites, like the Royal Hawaiian, without risk of getting kicked out for being under-dressed in the typical beachy tourist uniform.

This fab frock can be dressed up or down and happened to come from my friend and fellow blogger, Samantha, at one of my clothing swaps*. The best part is that I can LOOK like I can afford a fancy-pants vacay at this hotel, but my dress was FREE.

If you don’t have fashionable friends to share with, check out this new awesome site, SNOBSWAP.COM, where you can have your own ongoing clothing swap.

p.s. Somehow I think I made my city girl black wardrobe work in this tropical paradise…what do you think?

*Where a bunch of friends get together (preferably over margaritas) with all of their wardrobe that they’re ready to empty out of their closet. Everyone shares fun stories behind their items or reasons why they’re getting rid of them, and everyone can call out for the pieces they want. If too many people want the same piece, it goes into the “hot commodities” pile, to be determined after trying on. Whatever no one wants gets donated to charity. Everyone wins!
