Receiving these images that I styled for New Balance’s catalog and in-store posters about a year ago couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.
I recently decided that I wanted to take up running (crazy, I know). I’ve been a somewhat dedicated yogi for the past six or so years, but after seeing these fitness models do their thing, I was in awe.
I recently picked up some running gear, like a zip-up jacket with the holes thumbs (as pictured above) and got inspired to do what these athletes do. For someone that hasn’t ran more than a mile since high school, I’m impressed with myself that I made it up to 2.5 miles over the weekend!
Speaking of which, I styled a video for a popular weight-loss drug last week and had to put the actual patient into some great work-out wear. When she put on a jacket (also similar to the blue one above) and some great slimming yoga pants, she looked (and felt) like she was ready to take on the world.
It’s amazing what some good workout gear can do.
Oh, and if we can all have the fantastic lighting on us, like Conor Doherty captured, maybe we’d all look that good too!

p.s. I had no idea until reading Conor’s blog that NEW BALANCE is the only major athletic brand that still manufactures in the US!
