If you know me, you know I’m not the most athletic person. I’ve broken numerous bones. I complain about running more than I actually go for a run. I can downward dog like it’s nobody’s business, but most days, I consider my job as a stylist to be my current workout.
This season, the sporty look was EVERYWHERE…and I dreaded it when I first saw it. I wasn’t sure if I personally could pull it off, but I have to say, my laid back and often both Brooklyn and bohemian style somehow works nicely with this trend.
These silky athletic style pants make me feel like I can run a marathon (or realistically, at least a couple of miles), but I still look polished enough to go to brunch, work, or if I add heels and a blazer, I’m ready for a night out.
STYLIST TIP: I love mixing classic pieces from my wardrobe like this breton top and denim jacket that I’ve had for years with what’s new and trendy. Outfits look less dated when you pull it together that way.
