A Much Needed Pampered Evening

IMG_6977

Aside from Emily’s necklace design from E.Kammeyer that I was coveting last night (and it sadly wasn’t for sale just yet), the first thing I noticed was how gorgeous her skin looked at her trunk show event at Amore Pacific in SoHo. She boasted that after just one facial and using some of their products, she didn’t even need to wear makeup. Okay, this girl is normally gorgeous, but I was sold.

Lucky for me, this was a night of pampering for all, so I got to get my own mini facial after shopping and sipping some champagne.

I was a little overwhelmed at first by all of the products that all sounded like they were mysterious miracles from exotic ingredients. My facialist, Lisa, explained every step of the process as she used products with Asian botanicals that left my skin feeling clean and so soft.

I was apprehensive after I’ve been breaking out like crazy from the Clarisonic (which I was told is normal??), so I was pleasantly surprised when she used an exfoliating product that didn’t have the harsh abrasiveness that most do. Instead the green tea leaf extract—which they grow on their own green tea island (!!)—foamed so nicely as she massaged it on my face that I nearly fell asleep after my exhausting week of styling. Yes, it was only Tuesday.

I was so relaxed after my mini-facial that I was ready to go home and pass out, so I hardly got a chance to mingle with some of my favorites like Stephanie of NY Fashion Hunter that attended the event.

It was probably for the best, because I needed to get out of there before I bought all of the E.Kammeyer new 18kt gold tassel bracelets in the fun spring colors and all of the Amore Pacific natural wonder facial products like the foundation in 104 that looked and felt amazing on me (see above with Carla Moy after her brow treatment and my mini-facial).

Of course, that is until I go back for a full facial one day soon.
