Black, White and Green All Over

 IMG_1296

I’ve been pulling this same pom pom necklace by E.Kammeyer for shoots over and over since she first debuted it earlier this year. I used other pieces of hers, but I think I subconsciously kept this one aside for myself. On the last shoot I borrowed it for, I broke down and ended up buying it from the designer. I then wore it to an event last night and go figure, the designer was there wearing one too. I think we put the peer pressure on and soon everyone in the room was asking where they could get one.

You can get one here in case you can’t resist too.

I went to Roslindale, just outside of Boston, last week while both visiting family and prepping for a shoot, and was pleasantly surprised by the great shops, like Minerva’s Owl, and cafes, like Birch Street Bistro, in that area. Who knew?

One of my favorite spots to visit there (and actually the only one I used to stop by) is Joanne Rossman, Purveyor of the Unnecessary and Irresistible. The store was about to close for the day, but luckily opened its doors for me in time for me to spot this amazing zebra head, similar to the one I’ve been coveting while interviewing Day Kornbluth.

Last but not least is my new favorite blog that combines not just my love for fashion, but my passion for health and the environment too.

I try to do little green things in my daily life like eat vegetarian and local, reuse bags, do yoga, walk a ton, grow my own herbs and even drink green juices nearly every day of the week if I can, but this fellow stylist and green-lover is quite impressive on her mission to make the world a greener place. Check out her informative and inspiring blog, Going Greenster, to see how you can make a difference in your own daily life, including the juicer she uses to make those green juices I spend a fortune on every week!
