#FridayFavorites / Keep Cool and Carry On

she and reverie

I’ve lost count as to how many days exactly this heat wave has been going on in NYC, but it’s getting to the point where, I don’t know about you, but I don’t even want to get dressed because it’s so hot!

I’ve been dreaming about wearing the dreamy loungewear by Brooklyn based brand, She and Reverie. Designer Quinne Myers makes the most feminine and romantic pieces with a vintage throwback. It’s only apropos that I met her at my favorite retro soda shop, Brooklyn Farmacy a couple of months ago.

All of the pieces are incredibly soft and perfect to wear on days like these. If walking around in your underwear looks like this, count me in!

It’s also way too hot to wear a bra. For all of you dudes that read this, I know you don’t have any idea about this, but imagine wearing really thick double layered tighty-whities on these 100+ degrees days. Doesn’t sound appealing, right?

I pretty much only wear these soft “Fortuna” bralettes by NYC and Columbia based lingerie company, CLO, in the summers. They’re incredibly breathable and light. I can even throw them in the wash and they remain in great condition and the straps are moveable to make them into a racer-back bra (you can wear them to yoga!). Even better, they come in a variety of colors and look cute when they peek out of your sundress or tank.

Get this one while it’s hot—literally. In honor of the heat wave, the Brooklynites of K+P Vintage Jewelry are taking 10% off orders on Etsy of $15 or more with code HOTHOTHOT for today only! They only carry one of each piece, so once it’s gone, it’s gone. I’m still kicking myself over not getting some of their limited collection, but today I have no excuse.

Stay cool today stylistas!
