Last week I made an appearance ON camera once again, instead of my usual position behind-the-scenes. Amore Pacific in SoHo enticed me with a facial that celebs come in for to be on their program in Korea that they described would be kind of like the Today Show over there. I already loved everything about this place already, so I thought, why not!
I didn’t realize I would be interviewed on not only my opinion on skincare, but I was also quizzed on my knowledge on Korean culture (where the products originate from—they even have their own island there to grow their green tea ingredients!).
“Ummm, I know Gangham Style.” The obvious American answer, right?
I also knew that K-Pop and karaoke always make me happy.
I knew that I can’t eat Kimchi because of my shellfish allergy.
I knew that I love going to local Korean spas like Spa Castle and Spa King because they don’t cost much to go to…but I also get embarrassed when the ladies there make remarks and stare at my pale skin because it’s considered ideal in their culture. If only that were true for my own.
1 – Getting interviewed (or quizzed) on my thoughts on skincare and Korea
2 – All of the fun products I went home with and may go broke after wanting the whole line that is made with natural ingredients (NO PARABENS!) that are gentle enough for my sensitive skin.
3 – My co-host, Lauren Beebe, and I got all bundled up for our outdoor shot.
4 – Hands. Down. My new favorite beauty product is this tinted moisturizer with SPF 15. It’s so light and natural, yet it leaves my skin perfectly hydrated with a light amount of coverage. This will be the perfect product when (if) the temperatures begin to rise.
