It's a Mod World

IMG_0538

As you probably figured out by now, I love all things vintage. Though, it’s scary to me that young hipsters are considering fashion from the 90’s “vintage” now.

I seriously spotted a girl on the subway last week that was dressed like me back in the day: floral dress, over-sized faded denim jacket, combat boots with scrunchy socks, and even a Jansport backpack. That’s an era in style I don’t care to return to.

I’ve always gravitated towards the fashion of the 40’s and 70’s eras, but this season 60’s mod fashion has taken over in such a cool way that I can get on board with. There’s something kind of vintage yet rock’n’roll about it that feels fresh for spring.

STYLIST TIP: Go sock-less with your booties, flats or even heels as the weather gets warmer, but don’t forget to arm yourself. Try padding like these liners that I recently tried out by Silver Linings that are antimicrobial and absorb odors and moisture. Combine that with an absorbing powder like this one and you’ll be smelling sweet and looking good until the fall!
