NYFW – Dear Andi's Essentials

Rebecca Minkoff bag; House of Harlow sunnies; TopShop card holder (similar); LeSportsac wallet; Warby Parker glasses; Serge Normant dry shampoo; Nars lipgloss in Pillow Talk; Josie Moran lip & cheek stain in Flamenco; Jane Iredale matte powder; .

When you’re running around all day in NYC, there are a few necessities that you can’t leave home without. My purse becomes my office and I have to bring it all along with me from morning to night.

It seems like Rebecca Minkoff created her “Morning After Bag” style just for gals like me that need to carrying everything and the kitchen sink from morning to night. Most importantly it fits papers from shows, folders for jobs, my guide to all things current and cool —NY Magazine for long subway rides, and my iPad that essentially is my resource to everything fashion/my styling portfolio/pdf reader. I’m not quite sure how fashionistas run all over town with just a little clutch!

Just as my bag as a stylist needs to be functional as much as stylish, I’m not into fancypants wallets. They tend to get ruined so quickly on my jobs, so I opt for a durable and *affordable* LeSportsac wallet. I even have another LeSportsac for my assistants to use. A card holder is essential for the quick draw of the Metrocard, ID for meeting industry friends for drinks, and of course, my business cards.

My on the go beauty regimen needs to be equally as functional: a little dry shampoo to liven up my hair (the downfall of hats!), lipgloss and lip stain for two different looks, powder to keep my face matte, sunnies for protecting my eyes (but never worn indoors!), and glasses to check out every detail of the latest designs.

Good to go.

xo Liz
