#NYFW Recap: @ToryBurch

The fashion elite, including Anna Wintour, Bill Cunningham and even top a blogger like Leandra Medine of Man Repeller gathered in the David H. Koch Theater in Lincoln Center early this morning for the Tory Burch spring 2014 show. The floors were covered in what looked like a swimming pool as the sun began to break through the tall windows, which turned out to be the perfect setting for the 60’s inspired collection.

While Burch has evolved quite a bit since its heavily relying on logo design days, the designs still felt quite true to the brand. Bold retro patterns and silhouettes mixed with metallic accessories, as well as basket-weave cut-out leather fabrics made for an interesting take on her otherwise preppy designs.

Bags and shoes are the brand’s most popular items, so the Burch fan will be happy to note that there were plenty of good ones to choose from, including sling back mules and the revival of the fanny pack in the most fashionable way—a leather belt pouch. Whatever the Burch girl goes with, she shouldn’t forget her arm bracelet when she heads to the pool.
