#NYFW Recap: @AliceAndOlivia

#NYFW Recap: @AliceAndOlivia

September 10, 2013

It was “All American” scene at the Highline Stages for the Alice and Olivia by Stacey Bendet spring 2014 presentation. The collection was prep-meets-pretty with looks that included a polo paired with a printed maxi skirt, as well as full skirts and crop tops in saccharin colors. Much of Bendet’s romanticism included an edgy twist, complete with sky high platform espadrilles, ear cuffs and lots of black and leather (even in crop tops!).

There was something for everyone, every occasion and every style in this collection, as evident by the brand’s fan-base that attended like Paris Hilton, Kelly Bensimon, Jamie Chung and even Johnny Weir. May of the pieces are sure to best sellers in the spring like a pair of cropped ripped jeans with chains along the rips, modern collarless blazers, slouchy leather and army cropped pants, evening shorts, stuctured snake-embossed bags, and other staple separates. The avid A+O fan will be running to the stores for the detailed jackets and sweaters and the bold printed suiting and the maxi skirts that A+O have been leading the pack in.
