The best part of coming down from the post-holiday high is getting to use all of the thoughtful gifts you got from loved ones.

Some of my favorites include:

-Two pairs of these fun texting friendly gloves (I guess I’m known in the family for being addicted to my iPhone)

-A 10-class yoga card to Prana Yoga

-This bright red merino wool sweater that I would have never picked for myself, but I love that it’s the perfect punch of color that helps with my New Year Resolution

-A painting from my artist father similar to this one inspired by the Nebulas seen from the Hubble Telescope, which he worked on (…and that’s why I’m a nerd)

-Okay, so it wasn’t exactly a holiday gift, but I’m so excited about my new belt from Nona E. Rose (which I’ve been drooling over since styling her lookbook)! I’m lucky enough to be friends with designer and snatch the last one she personally had in stock. Not to fret…there are a few left at the chic little Brooklyn shop, Thistle & Clover.
