Heels I Can Actually Walk In

Part of my new #momlife is always being on the move. I thrive on keeping busy and I think the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. This baby always likes to be moving.

I had such an active pregnancy from working / running around on shoots until about 38 weeks, to swimming to barre classes, and even nesting …and now I’m paying for it. I was out and about from the moment I returned home from the hospital and haven’t stopped since, so it’s no wonder why he only likes to nap on the go.

I’m not complaining because it’s not the worst when I can get out of the house and feel like a person again, but it’s been taking a toll on my feet. I’m always on stroller walks or wearing him in a carrier. I’ve opted for comfy, flat shoes to walk around my Brooklyn ‘hood. Sometimes I just want to wear a heel now and then, but it doesn’t quite fit my lifestyle these days.

This summer I partnered with Rockport and chose these braided sling back sandal bootie hybrid shoes to try out because I was so desperate to wear a little heel again. I can’t remember the last time I did. At only 2.5 inches in heel height they’re just enough to give me a lift and make longer dresses look less frumpy. Somehow they’re even more comfortable (like walking on clouds!) than my flats thanks to a molded footbed. I didn’t even need to break them in.

If you’re like me and missing heels in your life now and then, I highly recommend these shoes. They come in black and a khaki color too. I opted for the brown to pair with my favorite summery boho looks. They’re perfect for this late summer season, going into fall, and they even happen to be on sale! I promise your feet will thank you.
