It’s officially fall and in Brooklyn it’s starting to finally feel it. The best part of this time of year is getting to wear all that cozy wardrobe that you’ve neglected all summer and adding new pieces that finish your fall look.
I partnered with Famous Footwear this season to feature a pair of booties to add to my signature style. I guess you could sum up my style as bohemian/1960’s & 70’s with a city girl edge. These days there’s a bit of “mom” ease mixed into my style too. I need easy, inexpensive and comfortable pieces for my lifestyle of hanging out with a 5 month old all day or running around for a photoshoot in my days working as a stylist.
Boots are my favorite fall wardrobe item. I found a pair of booties that go with just about everything in my closet and I can both dress up and down. They’re easy to wear all year round thanks to the open-toe and open-heel, which makes them the possibly most versatile (and affordable) booties in my closet. They look good with everything.
This past weekend at a crisp chill in the air, so I got to break out a new sweater and these boots for casually strolling around my neighborhood with the family. A bonus to the booties is that it makes my legs look longer and leaner when paired with high waisted skinny jeans. I’ll take all the help I can get with my postpartum mom bod.
I then got to dress the booties up when I went on a date with the hubby. Even when I don’t have time to do my hair these days (yay for the ponytail being a trend this season!), these booties finished my look and made me feel more polished. How would you wear these booties?
