Tailored and Polished Pieces For Fall

TOP | BLAZER | PANTS | BAG | SHOES

Last season we were all about “Stealth Wealth” and “Quiet Luxury,” trends, which I shared about originally in Daily Mail last March, then in their publication Femail talking about with Gwyneth’s style, then in The Washington Post, which was then picked up in The Atlantic. You may have seen Quiet Luxury everywhere this spring/summer. The thing is, I don’t see this “trend” going anywhere. If anything, it’s a movement. We are demanding better from brands, with better manufacturing and fabrics. It makes sense that we want less of trends that live for a season or two and more investment pieces that will have longevity in our closets. Luckily we are still seeing beautifully made, tailored and polished pieces continue into fall.

That’s why I want to share picks from one of my favorite sources—that while luxurious, won’t break the bank—that I recommend to so many of my clients. Sezane‘s fall collection is one of my favorites yet and I’m breaking down some of my favorite timeless, quality, and elevated (not to mention, sustainably made) picks that you’ll want in your wardrobe for years to come.

THE TIMELESS BLOUSE

Sezane is one of my go-to’s for recommending gorgeous blouses and button ups and this relaxed one is my current favorite, but in case it’s sold out and doesn’t restock, this similar blouse is so luxe in silk, and my clients tend to love this feminine blouse, Of course you can’t go wrong with a great clean button up, so the Tomboy shirt is a favorite for my petite clients especially (size up) and the Max Shirt is a great casual oversized style (get your size).

THE DOUBLE BREASTED BLAZER

After a few seasons of the oversized blazer taking over and not doing many any favors, we finally are getting back to a more sensible style this season. This double breasted blazer is one of my favorites this season, but if it’s sold out and doesn’t restock, check it out in the other colors like this beige and textured grey jacket, as well as this similar style in black and camel.

WIDE LEG TROUSERS

Just as we are seeing jeans a bit relaxed, we are also seeing this with pants (and they don’t need to be reserved for work only!). I’m loving this wool trouser not only for the tailoring, but it will keep me warm this season! They run true to size but are quite long, though perfect with a platform heel for me (which leads me to the next item you may want in your closet!). You may also want them in every color like grey if you get the matching blazer. If you only get one pant, make it this black wide leg pair and hem it to a sneaker or low heel. I’m also crushing on this leather trouser!

PLATFORM HEELS

Create yourself an alert on these beauties for when they restock if they sell out! My clients and followers have been loving them and they come in black and blush. Also try this trending t-strap style in black or this velvet, perfect for upcoming fall events.

THE CLASSIC BAG

If you’re looking to invest in a great bag that will take you from day to night, look no further than the classic box bag, but you don’t need to spend the designer prices for it. Sezane makes one of my favorites, including in trending snakeskin, and you’ll want it in every color like black. If you want to go more casual, you can even opt for the trending snakeskin in a bucket bag.
